SUMMARY:Planned Giving Marketing on a Budget
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Philanthropy Club for our November 2019 event. \nMost budgets for planned giving offices are tight\, but depending on your organization’s financial picture\, it can be even more difficult to get everything done on time and under budget. \nThis workshop-style presentation will cover the following: \n\nAnalyzing and assessing your donor base to inform your marketing efforts.\nIdentifying opportunities at your organization for planned giving marketing.\nCreating planned giving messaging for your unique constituents.\n\nAttendees can expect to leave this session with practical ideas and strategies to work with their annual fund team\, create appealing messaging for planned giving prospects and identifying low-cost messaging opportunities. Because marketing focuses more on general rather than personal messaging\, we will be focusing on external “mass” messaging\, rather than\, for example\, the particulars of a great legacy society. \nAnne M. Morgan\, JD\, LLM \nAnne M. Morgan\, JD\, LLM\, Director of Estate and Planned Giving at the Field Museum\, has over 20 years of experience in estate and planned giving\, and is a sought-after trainer and presenter in the areas of planned giving\, nonprofit law and tax law. She earned her BA in Communications from Purdue University\, her JD from Valparaiso University School of Law\, and her LLM in tax law from Washington University\, St. Louis.  She has worked for a variety of organizations of different sizes and missions to successfully grow their legacy giving programs\, including Northern Arizona University\, Arizona State University\, Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame\, and The Salvation Army. Focusing on the practical aspects of planned giving for a strong return on investment\, Ms. Morgan emphasizes prioritizing activity and building relationships both with donors and with colleagues. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving\, a former Director of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Arizona\, and licensed to practice law in Missouri and Indiana. \n
