SUMMARY:Optimizing the Board Chair/CEO Relationship
DESCRIPTION:  \nRegistration is now closed for this program. \n  \nThis workshop is designed for Board Chairs (incoming or existing) and CEOs to attend together.   \nThe Board Chair/CEO relationship is among the most critical for achieving success in a nonprofit and fulfilling its mission. This dynamic duo touches every area of board performance and drives an organization’s outcomes. Many Board Chair and CEO relationships are good\, but leaders know they could be so much better.  With the challenges and changes organizations must face\, leaders should not settle for a good relationship when it could be great.  To make this relationship great\, you need to know where to start\, what discussions are the most important and how to allocate time to build the Board Chair/CEO relationship. \nIn this workshop\, we provide a framework for thinking about the behaviors\, activities and work patterns between the Board Chair and CEO that generate the highest level of trust\, communication and impact for an organization.  Through quick assessments\, exercises and group discussions\, we will explore how the critical Board Chair/CEO relationship can be optimized over time and deliver the greatest impact.  We will answer your questions about how to manage this relationship for your mission.  Participants will walk away with an action plan that will help reinforce what they have learned. \nKey learning objectives: \n\nIdentify the opportunities to drive greater impact through the Board Chair-CEO relationship\nDevelop strategies and tactics in peer-to-peer discussions that can be applied in participants’ organizations\nDetermine the strengths and weaknesses of their own Board Chair-CEO partnership and what may need to change in order to embrace bold leadership\n\nProgram fee: $35 Members of Forefront / $160 Non-members (Members must log into the Forefront website to obtain their discount. Create a new account here.) \nForefront is offering additional board-related programs in 2020 focused on recruitment\, diversity and inclusion\, structure and process\, fundraising\, and performance and culture. \nClick here for our cancellation policy. \nNeed help? SUMMARY:Member Coffee
DESCRIPTION:The Forefront Library will host an informal coffee hour for Members to learn more about Forefront’s resources and to meet others in the Forefront community — your statewide membership association for nonprofits\, grantmakers\, public agencies\, advisors\, and allies. This free orientation will give you a chance to see the Library\, meet our Librarians and other Forefront staff\, learn about your Membership benefits (including Library reference and research services)\, and network with your nonprofit colleagues. This is a great opportunity to share a business card\, an idea\, or a casual conversation with fellow nonprofit professionals\, while learning how Forefront can help you achieve your mission. Added bonus – coffee and pastry will be served.
