SUMMARY:Grantmakers Institute: Assessing Nonprofit Financial Health
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis program is at capacity and registration has closed. \n  \nUnderstanding the financial health of both current and prospective grantees is a critical part of the grantmaking process. Nonprofit organizations face increasing financial challenges in today’s operating environment and in order to make sound funding decisions\, grantmakers must have a firm grasp of the story told by the numbers. Focusing on effective approaches to reading and interpreting audited financial statements and the IRS Form 990\, this course will equip grantmakers to understand their grantees’ financial reality\, with concepts and tools applicable to grantees across a range of mission areas and business models. \nProgram fee: $150 Members of Forefront / $225 Non-members (Members must log into the Forefront website to obtain their discount. Create a new account here.) \nClick here for our cancellation policy.

SUMMARY:Member Coffee - Canceled
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, this event has been canceled. Please join us May 6\, in our new space at the FBRK Impact House\, for the next coffee. Register for that event at https://myforefront.org/event/member-coffee-9/ \n  \n  \nThe Forefront Library will host an informal coffee hour for Members to learn more about Forefront’s resources and to meet others in the Forefront community — your statewide membership association for nonprofits\, grantmakers\, public agencies\, advisors\, and allies. This free orientation will give you a chance to see the Library\, meet our Librarians and other Forefront staff\, learn about your Membership benefits (including Library reference and research services)\, and network with your nonprofit colleagues. This is a great opportunity to share a business card\, an idea\, or a casual conversation with fellow nonprofit professionals\, while learning how Forefront can help you achieve your mission. Added bonus – coffee and pastry will be served.
