SUMMARY:COVID-19 Illinois Funder Briefings
DESCRIPTION:Forefront Illinois Funders’ Briefings feature opportunities to hear from and share local\, regional\, and national updates on responses to COVID-19 and its impact on Illinois communities.  Speakers and topics are updated on a rolling basis. \nFunding Rural Equity \nOn October 7\, we’ll be joined by Jawanza Malone\, Executive Director of the Wieboldt Foundation\, and Lindsay Ryder\, Director of the Integrated Rural Strategies Group at Neighborhood Funders Group. They will share examples of foundations advancing racial justice and making an impact in rural communities through support for community organizing\, values-aligned grantmaking\, and funder collaboration. Lindsay will also preview a soon-to-be-released Toolkit for funders to support them in moving forward with funding rural equity. The Toolkit will include a funder self-assessment\, as well as a set of recommendations and models/best practices to support funders in progressive implementation of a rural equity funding strategy. \nRegister Here
