DESCRIPTION:Please join Forefront and BDO Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory for this virtual introductory training on government funding for nonprofits covering grants\, contracts\, RFPs\, compliance\, and regulations. \nIn many cases\, government funding can offer opportunities for nonprofit organizations at a scale and for purposes that other sources cannot match. This training will unpack the fundamentals of government funding including identifying the differences between grants and contracts\, navigating the request for proposal process\, and understanding key compliance requirements that will help you successfully manage government funds. This training is aimed primarily at those who have little to no experience with government funding. \nSpeakers: \nGene Lee\, Senior Manager\, BDO Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory In his role as a Senior Manager on BDO’s Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory team\, Gene consults\, coaches\, and trains nonprofits on a variety of financial and operational topics. Prior to joining BDO he was the Director of Project Finance and Grants at WGBH Educational Foundation\, the largest producer of content for PBS.
