DESCRIPTION:Please join Forefront and BDO Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory for this virtual training and take a deeper dive into cash flow planning including understanding how liquidity impacts financial health and learning how to implement a cash flow management tool. \nMaintaining adequate cash flow is a key component of ensuring the financial health and stability of any nonprofit organization. In this workshop\, we will explore how cash is a critical component of an organization’s capital structure and discuss strategies to maximize positive cash flow. This workshop will take participants through a step-by-step process to project future cash flow\, with an emphasis on the cross-functional team collaboration necessary to create and update projections. As a takeaway\, participants will be provided with a tool to calculate key liquidity metrics for their own organizations as well as a template for creating cash flow projections. \nKey focus areas for this workshop will include: \n\nCreating and updating rolling cash flow projections as part of your financial planning and monitoring process\nThe importance of maintaining sufficient liquid operating reserves\nKey liquidity metrics and benchmarks to calculate and monitor for your organization\n\nIntended Audience: Anyone seeking an introductory understanding of key liquidity metrics or cash flow management.
