Passionate about your program and the clients that you serve, but losing sleep over operational issues such as budgets, purchasing, benefit plans, and rent?  As leaders focused on impact and sustainability, many nonprofit executives have strong backgrounds in program management.  Key to expanding impact and insuring sustainability for your organization might be sharing back office services with other nonprofits.  With experts on IT, finance, real estate, and long-term partnerships, this panel will help you think through options to better manage your organization’s operations.

This panel, moderated by Genita C. Robinson, Director, Mission Sustainability Initiative (MSI), is designed to give you insights into critical questions such as:

  • How do you get the best deal on real estate?
  • Can you find savings in purchasing?
  • How do you secure and back up your clients’ data?
  • Are your finance and accounting systems set up to faithfully steward donated funds?


Based on experiences in other cities and supported by foundations and private firms, the MSI creates a neutral space to help Chicago area nonprofits evaluate the possible benefits of a strategic partnership, get the help they need to design, negotiate, and implement their partnership, and access funding to help support the process.
