What do you do now? \nJoin the Philanthropy Club Thursday\, January 14\, to hear from seasoned fundraising professionals who’ve been there\, survived\, and flourished: Yani Mason and Anne Morgan. \nYani Mason\, Ed.D.\, is currently serving as Senior Development Manager for Girls\, Inc. of Chicago. Prior to her current role\, Dr. Mason was laid off from her role as Development Manager at World Business Chicago due to revenue losses from COVID-19. \nDr. Mason has 12 years of experience in the nonprofit sector\, working in a variety of roles including digital communications\, social media\, public relations\, and grant writing. Throughout her career\, she has helped nonprofit organizations receive competitive grant funding and create and maintain engaged online communities. \nAnne Morgan is an experienced development professional\, with over 20 years of advancement experience in increasingly senior roles. Ms. Morgan has represented organizations in higher education\, social services\, and arts and culture\, as well as both secular and religion-affiliated organizations\, including Northern Arizona University\, Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame\, IN)\, and The Salvation Army. \nThe session will be moderated by Rich Gage\, Senior Development Officer\, Lawrence Hall.

Dr. Kyle Westbrook\, PCC Executive Director\, and Mike Abrahamson\, PCC Policy Manager + report author\, will share the findings from their recent report\, Higher Education Appropriations: A Framework for Equity in Illinois. PCC will highlight takeaways from past recessions and crises and offers participants opportunities to learn about policies that can reverse the pattern of disinvestment that has most affected financially vulnerable students and colleges throughout the state.
