SUMMARY:Deliberative\, Structured Dialogue Sessions: School Choice in CPS
DESCRIPTION:The Forefront Education and Equity Group invites you to join us for a unique two-session professional learning opportunity\, where we will engage in deliberative\, structured dialogues on the topic of School Choice in Chicago Public Schools.  Utilizing a deliberative democracy approach\, this experience aims to facilitate informed\, respectful\, and meaningful dialogue among Education and Equity members. The sessions are designed not only to deepen understanding of the school choice dilemma\, but also to explore how deliberative democratic principles can enhance engagement with difficult topics\, foster community cohesion\, and inform future individual and philanthropic efforts. We are partnering with EngagEd Collective Consultancy to facilitate these sessions. \nSession 1 will be held on September 26\, 2024\, from 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. and will focus on understanding and perspective-taking. \nSession 2 will be held on October 30\, 2024\, from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and will include the deliberative dialogue session. \nThis is a two-part series for funders only. Please note that by registering\, you are signing up for both the September 26 and October 30 sessions.
