We will update this page once it has been rescheduled. ** \n  \n\n\n\nThe Leadership & Human Capital group presents a four-session series for Grantmakers. \nThe Forefront Education Leadership & Human Capital Member Network has launched a year-long learning agenda focused on teachers. The group will spend most of 2020 learning about the research\, best practices\, and policy solutions in the teacher space. The agenda will focus on four main topics: pipeline\, diversity\, leadership\, and growth.  Please see the information below for details and to register. \n  \nTeacher Pipeline (To register for this session\, click the registration button below.) \nMarch 24\, 2020 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am  \nWe will look at the current teacher pipeline in Chicago\, dig into the shortage areas\, and tackle possible strategies for recruiting and preparing teachers for high-need areas. \n  \nTeacher Diversity \nMay 27\, 2020 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am \nWe will look into Chicago’s current teacher diversity issues\, understand the research on the importance of a diverse teacher workforce\, and learn about strategies for recruiting\, preparing and retaining a diverse workforce. \n  \nTeacher Leadership \nDate TBD \nWe will hear about the current challenges and needs in Chicago\, learn about current high-impact efforts/programs in teacher leadership\, and hear what funders are currently doing in the space. \n  \nTeacher Growth/Practice \nDate TBD \nWe will learn about the best strategies to develop teachers\, such as embedded on-going professional learning\, understand the connection to high-quality curriculum\, and hear about the current needs in Chicago. \n  \nThis specific learning agenda will be open to Grantmaker Members only\, but the Forefront Leadership & Human Capital Network co-chairs expect to have other sessions during the year for a wider audience.
