SUMMARY:Supporting a Vision for Culturally Sustaining Teaching
DESCRIPTION:Join fellow funders on December 4th from 9:30-10:30am to discuss approaches\, interventions and emerging needs for strengthening culturally sustaining pedagogy within our schools.  Participants will explore this topic by engaging with leaders and organizations that support implementation of this work in schools. \nPanelists: \nVioleta Cerna-Prado\, a 9th grade multicultural studies teacher\, Teach Plus policy fellow\, and a member of the Diverse and Learner Ready Teachers (DLRT) Network \nJulie Furigay\, Residency Instructor and Advisor\, University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program \nJaneen Lee\, Social Science Manager\, Department of Social Sciences and Civic Engagement\, Chicago Public Schools \nCristina Pacione-Zayas\, Associate Vice President of Policy\, Erikson Institute \n\n  \nThis free event is only open to Forefront Grantmaker Members.
