DESCRIPTION:Forefront Illinois Funders’ Briefings feature opportunities to hear from and share local\, regional\, and national updates on responses to COVID-19 and its impact on Illinois communities. Speakers and topics are updated on a rolling basis. \nFebruary’s funders’ briefings will focus on policy updates at the state and federal level. On February 11\, Forefront’s Policy & Advocacy Director Bryan Zarou will lead a conversation on the state of our state\, featuring Lauren Wright of Illinois Partners for Human Services and Jonathan Vanderbrug of Arts Alliance Illinois. On February 25\, Brian will be joined by Tiffany Gourley Carter of the National Council of Nonprofits and Matthew L. Evans of United Philanthropy Forum to discuss federal policy and focus areas. \nOn March 11\, we’ll get an update on SHIELD Illinois\, a new university-related organization expanding the reach of rapid-result\, saliva-based testing of COVID-19. \n
