DESCRIPTION:Briefings feature opportunities to hear from and share local\, regional\, and national updates on responses to COVID-19 and its impact on Illinois communities. Speakers and topics will be updated on a rolling basis. \nChild Savings Accounts (CSAs) are being offered at local and regional scales as a strategy to improve education attainment and grow household wealth. During our July 1 Funders’ Briefing\, we’ll hear from representatives of The Chicago Community Trust\, the Illinois State Treasurer’s office\, and the Heartland Alliance about the evidence informing this strategy\, examples of CSAs being implemented nationally\, and the opportunities available in conjunction with Illinois’ 529 program. \nThis biweekly call is exclusively for grantmakers and representatives of grantmaking institutions. \nRegister here
