DESCRIPTION:*This event is for nonprofits organizations serving Knox and Warren Counties and current members of The Nonprofit Network.* \nTake your board from good to great with this three-part training series designed specifically for incoming and current nonprofit board members. Led by BoardSource consultant Linda Wastyn\, each session will build upon the last to provide participants with an in-depth look at principles and best practices in nonprofit governance and practical approaches to board service today. Topics will include: \n• The Board/Staff Relationship\n• The Board as Ambassador\n• Building a Culture of Inquiry and Adaptability\n• Roles and Responsibilities of the Nonprofit Board\n• Setting the Mission\, Vision and Strategic Goals\n• Recruitment & Retention\n• Evaluations & Self-Assessment\n• And More! \nSessions will take place Tuesdays\, February 2\, 9\, and 16 from 3:30pm-5pm. All sessions will be held online via Zoom. \nSeries Cost: $50 for NPN Members | $75 Non-Members \nFee covers registration for up to two individuals per organization and includes a personalized certificate of completion.
