Calling all libraries, museums, historical societies, arts councils, tourism bureaus, educators, and other nonprofit organizations! Join Forefront and Illinois Humanities on April 22nd to learn about grant opportunities and public programs offered each year. We're also excited to learn more about the great work that organizations in our area are doing.

This workshop will include background information on Forefront and new opportunities they are offering in Central Illinois and an introduction to the mission and work of Illinois Humanities, discussions about opportunities for collaboration, and detailed information about several of their programs, including:

Community Grants
making funding available to museums, libraries, and other non-profit cultural organizations

Illinois Speaks
examining current events and contemporary issues through small-group discussion

Capitol Forum
providing a collaborative civic education experience for high school social studies classes

Museum on Main Street
presenting Smithsonian-produced traveling exhibits in partnership with community organizations

Road Scholars Speakers Bureau
offering presentations on a wide variety of subjects by Illinois authors, artists, and educators
