One of the many responsibilities of a nonprofit CEO/Executive Director is the financial leadership of the organization. Financial leadership involves guiding a nonprofit organization to sustanability and financial health while providing the right conditions to acheive mission impact. The financial management, on the other hand, is the job of collecting financial data, producing regular reports, and solutions of short-term financial issues. To do all of this successfully requires staff in many departments and at many levels to keep in mind nonprofit business concepts. 

This conversation will provide a case study of how one nonprofit put these practices into place, and it will also be an opportunity to bring your own questions and examples to share with the group. 

Our conversation will be facilitated by David McConnell, most recently the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for One Hope United. David has worked in a variety of increasingly important financial and administrative positions in the nonprofit sector throughout his 42-year career in the nonprofit sector, in both the State of Massachusetts and the State of Illinois.
