Is risk a dirty word at your nonprofit? Do you actively look for threats and opportunities as a routine part of your daily operations? In today’s environment, risk management is critical. Unfortunately, many nonprofit executives think they are too busy to begin implementing risk management processes. If you believe that, you put your organization in peril. Increasing Risk Awareness for Mission Critical Objectives of Not-for-Profit Organizations, this session will provide Risk Management tools to assist NPO Leaders in creating a sustainable organization, build capacity and influence the strategic plan.

Ted Bilich is the Chief Executive Officer of Risk Alternatives LLC, which offers risk management and process improvement solutions to nonprofits and startups. Ted previously was a Distinguished Visiting Professor from Practice at Georgetown University Law Center. Before fulltime teaching, Ted served for more than 20 years in the Washington DC office of the international law firm of Jones Day. Ted is a member of the American Law Institute, where he works to clarify the law of risk management, compliance, and governance. He has also served on the boards of numerous organizations. Ted has written about risk management and process improvement in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Corporate Responsibility Magazine, and Risk Management Magazine.

In this session, Ted will explain how you can begin using risk management tools today to improve your organization sustainability and resilience.

If you would like to learn a little bit about Ted, you can look at his LinkedIn profile or his bio at, or you can listen to recent interviews he provided on the Nonprofit Leadership Podcast and Successful Nonprofits Podcast. You can also read the article he wrote about beginning risk management in the Stanford Social Innovation Review.

We look forward to you joining us!

This session is open to Forefront NPO CEO’s.
