FBRK IMPACT HOUSE
Forefront is embarking upon a transformational new project that will provide a north star for the social impact sector and strengthen our commitment to maximizing our Members’ potential: FBRK Impact House, opening March 2020.
Shaping a Collective Voice for Chicago Philanthropy
In preparation for our move, Forefront President and CEO Eric Weinheimer sat down with FBRK Founder Israel Idonije to discuss the mission and vision of FBRK Impact House. Read their conversation here.
A Pivotal New Project for Illinois’ Social Impact Sector
Once completed, FBRK Impact House will be Chicago’s first innovation-based philanthropy center dedicated to supporting and serving grantmakers, family foundations and impact investors. Forefront will be an anchor tenant alongside The Field Foundation, Pillars Fund, United States Artists, and Woods Fund. This new center for philanthropy will provide Forefront Members with brand-new, state-of-the-art settings for our best-in-class workshops and an upgraded Library to support their research needs. A home for collective action, FBRK Impact House will allow Forefront to expand on what it does best: bringing grantmakers, nonprofits, advisors, and other stakeholders together and build a stronger and more vibrant Illinois. Forefront will move into this dynamic new space in Spring 2020.
Captained by an Industry Leader
FBRK Impact House will be owned and operated by FBRK, a Chicago-based company that aims to develop a network of creative environments designed to support the people building a better world. The FBRK Impact House will play a similar role for philanthropy as FBRK’s other space will for entrepreneurs. FBRK was founded by Israel Idonije, a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former Chicago Bear.
