This introductory workshop prepares participants to successfully develop, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations and corporations. Through detailed instruction, small group exercises, and peer review, you’ll learn how to craft a proposal that serves as a bridge between your organization’s work and the goals of potential funders. You’ll also have a unique opportunity to hear from and ask questions of a panel of grantmakers.

Prerequisite: Creating a Theory of Change
A working theory of change is key to all of the skills taught in our nonprofit management programs so we encourage participants to 1) bring a current theory of change or logic model to relevant workshops, or 2) attend a Creating a Theory of Change workshop before attending any other of our nonprofit management programs. If you’re unable to do either, please take some time in advance of your chosen workshop to consider your own program or organization’s purpose and goals. You may find a useful resource.
