Forefront stands in solidarity: A message from CEO and Chair of the Board
After reading and seeing the severe civil unrest that has erupted nationally, across Illinois, and in Chicago, Forefront stands in solidarity with the individuals and organizers who are on the frontlines, sacrificing their lives, and dismantling these racist systems. We also continue to stand against the systemic injustices that are destroying Black lives, families, and communities.
We also believe that the names of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and others who have been taken must be spoken and their lives affirmed. We can’t imagine the anger and pain that many community members are feeling. Coupled with navigating a global pandemic that is disproportionately affecting Black and Latinx communities, the inequities and injustices have been laid bare for all to see. Forefront stands with you. Working together, we will persevere.
SILENCE IS NOT A STRATEGY THAT SERVES AS A CATALYST FOR CHANGE
