Illinois Leads in “Get on the Map” Funder Participation, but We Still Need Your Help

June 24, 2015

Thanks to many of our Grantmaker Members*, Illinois leads the nation in the number of funders that have thus far participated in “Get on the Map.” If you are an Illinois funder and not yet “on the map,” we need your help to achieve 100% participation.

The campaign to "Get on the Map" is a partnership of Donors Forum, the Foundation Center, and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers. The goal is to improve the quality, timeliness, and availability of rich grants data. It takes only about five minutes for funders to participate by e-reporting their grants data.

Read more and watch a video about participating here, and download a "Get on the Map" fact sheet here.

  • By participating in "Get on the Map," you will receive, free of charge, online access to a regional map of all grants data that have been e-reported from funders in Illinois. In addition to grants, the regional map shows grant recipients and grant level details. You can search and filter by subject, population, year, type of grantmaker, support strategy, and more. By participating you will also receive a free individual map which shows your organization's grants.
  • More robust versions of the mapping tool will be available for purchase by participating and non-participating funders.
  • Full access to the mapping tool will be available in the Donors Forum Library.

For the free regional map to be the most useful, we need 100% of Illinois funders to participate. If you have not already done so, we urge you to "Get on the Map!"
