Nonprofit Financial Planning and Monitoring (Webinar)

This virtual workshop will provide an overview of nonprofit financial health, planning, and monitoring. Topics include an orientation to audited financial statements and the IRS Form 990, an introduction to key metrics to measure financial health, tips for developing a well-designed budget process, and strategies for improved communication across functions that can build a “team around the numbers” focused on financial results.

Key concepts include:

• How to calculate key financial metrics
• Understanding how fiscal performance is a critical component of any evaluation tool and the industry benchmarks used to identify resilient organizations
• Types of budgets and levels of planning at an organization
• Financial reporting best practices for board, leadership, and staff

This program is aimed at anyone seeking an introductory understanding of nonprofit financial health, planning, and monitoring. This training is aimed primarily at those who have little to no experience with government funding.
