Public Policy Thursdays: Advocacy 101 for Foundations & Foundations on the Hill Training
This free 90 minute virtual training is designed to help all foundations in Illinois understand the rules for foundations when it comes to policy and advocacy.
In Part 1, the 45 minutes, foundation staff will learn about federal and state rules, including when and how foundations are permitted to fund policy and advocacy work for their grantees. Additionally, we will briefly review a new Voter Engagement Guide for Foundations.
In Part 2, the second 45 minutes, those attending Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) 2024 will learn more about what to expect on the Hill and related legislative priorities. This event is required for FOTH participants. Q&A and discussion will be available.
