Public Policy Thursday: Forefront Briefing on Chicago Lobbying Ordinance (Webinar)
Foundations and nonprofits that operate within Chicago, and/or that engage with the City Council or Departments, should attend this meeting to learn about the newly-introduced ethics ordinance (O2023-2937) that makes changes to the City’s lobbying rules.
Forefront staff, with the support of Clifford Helm, Senior Counsel, Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, will brief stakeholders on the changes, answer questions, and invite feedback in order to ensure we represent the sector’s interests. The discussion will include brief review of difference between City/State/Federal regulations for context. City of Chicago policy staff will be available for technical questions if needed. The briefing will be recorded; discussion and Q&A will not be recorded. Registration is required.
Panelists:
Holly Ambuehl, Director of Policy & Government Affairs, Forefront
Cliff Helm, Senior Counsel, Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights
