Forefront’s Library in Chicago holds more than 3,000 volumes on grantmaking, fundraising, nonprofit management and governance, and is an invaluable resource. It also can be overwhelming. This workshop will provide a place to start a search for funding. You’ll get a brief overview of our databases, the Library’s print collection, and online research guides. This presentation is done in partnership with the Central Illinois Nonprofit Reference Center at the University of Illinois at Springfield. And so you will also learn about the resources and expertise available locally. The session also will take a deeper look at Candid’s database, Foundation Directory Online.
Participants will leave with the ability to use databases to conduct research on potential grant funding. This workshop is ideal for nonprofit professionals conducting fundraising or prospect research.
