Please join Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul‘s office as they host a webinar to assist charitable organizations as they use the new Charitable Trust Online Filing System to meet filing requirements. This informational webinar will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. via Zoom.
The Attorney General’s staff will demonstrate how to create an account, make filings, and request Letters of Good Standing and extensions and share more information about the features to support charities as they seek grants and donations. This online system was created to provide an easy, secure way for charitable organizations to submit their filings and remain in compliance with Illinois law.
This new online portal allows charitable organizations to complete and submit required forms using prompts from the online system. In addition to online filing, features include providing online signatures for the required filings and online payments, submitting requests for extensions, the ability to check the status of your organization’s filing, generating Letters of Good Standing and communicating with the Attorney General’s Office via email. Potential donors and grantors will be able to better search for charitable organizations’ registration and financial information using the office’s newly updated Charitable Trust Database.
Anyone who assists a charitable organizations or nonprofit hospitals with their filing obligations are encouraged to attend as schedules permit. If you are unable to attend in December, my staff will also host additional webinars in 2026 and are continuing to develop resources for the portal website.
