Illinois will receive a total of 1,600 people arriving from Afghanistan during fiscal year 2022 who require welcome and support as they settle into their new homes. During this funder briefing, we’ll hear from three agencies working to support Afghani families through coordinated services across the state. Speakers will include Jane Lombardi of The Resurrection Project, Breandán Magee of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), and Sima Quraishi of the Muslim Women’s Resource Center.
