Join Forefront and grantmaking colleagues in Washington D.C., March 12-14!
Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) is an annual event that brings foundation leaders from across the country to Washington DC for meetings with Congress on issues essential to foundations and philanthropy. The event is co-sponsored by Council on Foundations and United Philanthropy Forum. This year, with the recently passed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the potential loss of $12-20 billion in charitable giving, and the under-funded Census 2020, we need you, our Illinois foundation leaders, to lend your voices to Illinois and its social impact sector at FOTH.
Foundations on the Hill offers a rare opportunity to develop and strengthen relationships with members of Congress. Our attendance allows us to:
- Highlight the impact of philanthropy and nonprofits on Illinois citizens.
- Inform and educate Congress about philanthropy and the issues facing foundations and our local communities.
- Establish foundations as public policy resources in the eyes of Congress.
- Attend and establish relationships with Congressional Staff at a cocktail reception on the hill.
Raise your voice for Illinois and its social impact sector. Join us at Foundations on the Hill 2018. To be included in the delegation, contact Yoselyn Ovalle, Forefront’s Policy Coordinator, by Friday, February 16th.
First time? We still welcome you to join our delegation! Forefront will provide training and key messaging for our FOTH delegation to come prepared and empowered when they speak with their representatives.
