Introduction to Proposal Writing

February 27 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm CST

Get up to speed on the ins and outs of writing and submitting grant proposals! This introductory workshop combines detailed instruction with opportunities to learn from your peers, giving you tools to craft a proposal that bridges the gap between your organization’s work and the goals of potential funders. Participants will learn to:

  • Understand context for fundraising and grant writing
  • Understand what funders look for in projects and proposals
  • Write and present an effective needs statement and program plan
  • Identify and craft elements of a strong proposal
  • Prioritize funder cultivation and stewardship in building lasting relationships

Plus, you’ll also have the exclusive opportunity to meet and hear from a panel of grantmakers!

This workshop is ideal for nonprofit professionals who are newer to fundraising and responsible for securing grant funding.
