5 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Find at The Forefront Library
April 11, 2016
In honor of National Library Week, we'll be sharing throughout the week about Forefront's Library. National Library Week (April 10-16) is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries participate – school, public, academic and special (that's us!).
5 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Find at The Forefront Library.
1. Print copies of the Foundation Directory Online. Technology needn’t be a barrier to prospect research. These books are very heavy, but are comprehensive and updated annually.
2. Networking opportunities. The Forefront Library is a place for the present, past, and future members of Forefront to come together and navigate the social impact sector. The librarians will never shush you if you’re talking shop!
3. 20 Minute Guides and Very Short Introductions to management, leadership, and other professional topics. These guides are the best way to pick up information in a half hour or less.
4. The Valerie S. Lies Family Philanthropy collection. Created in 2007 in honor of former Donors Forum President Valerie S. Lies and her service to the sector, the librarians add relevant resources to the collection every year.
5. The latest on B-Corps, social innovation, and other sector trends. We’ve dedicated a LibGuide and section of the library to emerging topics.
