Dare to Lead: Building Trust

Vulnerability and trust are requirements for innovation. The shift in work and learning environments caused by the COVID-19 pandemic demands that innovation, and, more than ever, adaptability. How can we build trust on our team when our normal systems of accountability have changed? Join certified Dare to Lead™ facilitator, Julie Boll in exploring how trust is built in organizations by digging into the four skill sets required of courageous leadership (which are teachable, measurable and observable). This webinar involves small group discussions and self-reflection. Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program. Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership.

Julie Boll, M.Ed., GPC, is the founder of Julie Boll Consulting, which provides strategic planning, leadership training, and grant writing for nonprofits. Since establishing her consulting firm in 2018, Boll has helped her clients develop bold and actionable strategic plans and secure more than $4.4 million in foundation and state grants.

Tovi C. Scruggs-Hussein is a visionary educator, author, and award-winning urban high school principal with over 25 years of emotional intelligence training.  She cultivates courageous, connected, and conscious leaders and service-organizations internationally who recognize their calling to BE more. She believes that in order to successfully transform schools, organizations, and the cultures we lead, we must first successfully transform ourselves.
