The entire Forefront team mourns the loss of civil rights leader, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr.
Rev. Jackson devoted his life to the upliftment and improvement of all marginalized communities everywhere, especially here in Chicago and Illinois. He was an exceptional servant leader throughout his lifetime. Through Rainbow Coalition and Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Rev. Jackson exemplified cooperative leadership and solidarity. Rev. Jackson was hopeful and used that hope to power his work with underserved communities across the state and the nation.
We offer our most sincere condolences to the Jackson Family. We honor Rev. Jackson in this moment and in the future by continuing our commitment to equity and inclusion for all of us in Illinois.
