Thinking of a Career in Fundraising? Join Us for a Webinar Dec. 9 on Making the Switch
This article on jobs in the nonprofit sector, which ran this month in the New York Time’s annual section on giving, is timely considering the new webinar we have coming up. In collaboration with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, we are offering the webinar "So You Want to Be a Fundraiser?" to help career switchers interested in fundraising.
Participants will explore:
- how to prepare for a career in fundraising and the certifications that are available;
- how to succeed in making the switch and overcome the challenges involved; and,
- the key lessons learned from those who have already made the transition.
The panel discussion m oderator is Marian Alexander DeBerry, Director of Talent Management for Campbell & Company. Panelists include Karen Foley, President of Chicago Scholars, and Bill Moucka, Planned Giving Officer at North Park University.
This opportunity will take place Thursday, December 9, 2010 from noon-1:30 pm CST. The price for all Members, Partners, and Associate Members of Donors Forum is $45; for others, $60. To register, visit http://bit.ly/dzeSDG or go to www.donorsforum.org; click on Calendar of all Events (top right) and follow the prompts.
