Issues of inclusion and engagement go beyond large-scale structural problems we face today. One barrier to diversity and inclusion in the workplace is implicit bias, where un-considered assumptions and slight actions make the workplace uncomfortable or even hostile to people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. This workshop will explain issues of implicit bias, privilege, and microaggressions, and how they can have important consequences for those seen as “the other.” You will learn strategies to manage your biases, and how to have difficult conversations about implicit bias with your colleagues, board, and external partners.
Program fee: $35 Members of Forefront / $160 Non-members (Members must log into the Forefront website to obtain their discount. Create a new account here.)
