The City of Chicago’s Financial Incentive Programs

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund (NOF) are funding sources intended to spur economic development in the City of Chicago. Interested in learning how your nonprofit can benefit? Join October’s Philanthropy Club to hear from Tim Jeffries who manages both programs.

Speaker:

Tim Jefferies is a Deputy Commissioner in the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development where he manages the City’s financial incentives programs, including Tax Increment Financing (TIF), Neighborhood Opportunity Fund (NOF) and property tax abatements. Previous experience includes positions at the Active Transportation Alliance and Friends of the Parks. Tim has also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romania.
