Join the Philanthropy Club on February 2 to learn about Illinois’ financial landscape. This month’s meeting will be led by Lauren Wright, Executive Director of the Illinois Partners for Human Service (IPHS). A coalition of more than 800 human service organizations located in every county and district throughout Illinois, IPHS represents fields across the sector including education, economic opportunity, healthcare, and public safety.
Since assuming her position in August 2019, Lauren has been driven to create a more equitable future for all Illinoisans. Her vision and experience with building global coalitions, cultivating relationships with diverse stakeholders and creating new opportunities for growth and sustainability are at the core of the Illinois Partners mission. Lauren served as Director of Programs at Mama Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to partnering with grassroots organizations around the world and investing in programs that support education, climate justice, health, gender equality, and financial security. In addition, her deep understanding of the challenges of rural communities, based on her work in Ghana at the United Hearts Children Center, brings unique insights on nonprofit management, collaborative opportunities, and the challenges of providing access and support to human services in rural Illinois.
