Forefront Policy Stakeholder Survey

Forefront is Illinois’ only statewide membership association for all nonprofits and grant-makers. To advance federal priorities and learn best practices for state-level advocacy, Forefront’s policy team works closely with United Philanthropy Forum and National Council of Nonprofits, as well as our counterparts in other states. Forefront’s policy team receives guidance from our board of directors and a policy committee comprised of both board members and other stakeholders. Forefront strives to represent the entire social impact sector, regardless of whether all such employers are among our members.

Purpose of Survey

This survey is focused on policy and advocacy. It is intended to inform our policy and government affairs efforts on your behalf. The goals of this survey are to learn 1) what Forefront stakeholders identify as their most important policy and advocacy priorities; 2) the right-sized role for Forefront related to those priorities; and 3) which Forefront activities bring the most value to stakeholders related to policy and advocacy. We seek and welcome survey responses from a broad variety of social impact sector stakeholders, including all sizes, service types, and geographies. Results will help us build a new policy platform, which will be shared with our community in early 2023.

Instructions

You do not need to be a Forefront member to compete this survey. Responses from any kind of grant-maker or nonprofit are welcome, if they are located in and serve in Illinois.

The person that is most involved in and knowledgeable about your organization’s policy and advocacy priorities is likely the best person to complete this survey. Please note that there are questions related to organizational finances and demographics, which may require input from your finance and/or fundraising team(s).

Please complete only one survey per organization.

There are 30 questions; most of them are multiple choice. The survey is designed to make the best use of your time, and shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes. If you have questions, contact policy@myforefront.org. The survey will close on Monday, October 31st at 5pm.
